One of the greatest gifts in life is the opportunity for reinvention. If we’re honest, life is filled with unforeseen challenges, setbacks, losses, and mistakes. The power to pivot, create, improve, overcome, and reinvent oneself and circumstances; to deliver new life and a new vision for trusted companions, a community, or a business, is a great privilege and an available option for all those who make a determined decision to carry on. And here is my FAQS Blog to answer your questions about my life of reinvention.
Being an Aviator: “Flying is a lifelong learning adventure.“

How long did your initial aviation training take?
My initial training to obtain my private pilot license took about a year. About a year in, with 70 hours of flying time under my belt, I took my test. I flew for many years until adding a multi-engine and instrument rating. But you are continuously training, and the training never ends.
As a pilot, you are required to take a multi-day, annual recurrent training class. They run you through all kinds of systems and performance metrics, simulate emergencies through catastrophic events, and help you build proficiency in accurate response.
What are the four fundamentals of Aviation?
The four fundamentals of aviation are the basic moves pilots use to fly and control an airplane.
They are:
- Straight-and-level flight
- Climbs
- Descents
- Turns
These moves are the building blocks for all controlled flying. Pilots use them to change where the plane goes and how high it flies by managing four forces: lift, weight, thrust, and drag.
All flying tricks, from taking off to landing, use these four fundamental moves. Pilots control the plane by learning to use these in the correct order and at the right time.
Precision in flying under different conditions, including weather, is crucial; if not, people die. See it all the time. It’s a constant mental state. Impacts on your psychological self. Gravity, centrifugal force-can’t see which way is up and down.
Thinking about it
It is a constant mental state. There are impacts on your physiological self, such as gravity, centrifugal force, and being in clouds without full view.
This thing can yaw side-to-side, pitch up or down, and roll left to right, and all your fluids and body parts are influenced by these movements. This often requires ignoring the impacts on your body that can create confusion, which can lead to disaster. No matter how much you train, you never know how you will respond.
You have to have, somewhere down deep, a comfort level that in an emergency, you are not going to walk away dead.
What is the rule of 3 in aviation?
The aviation rule of 3 is a simple way to determine when to start descending while flying. It says: for every 1,000 feet you need to lose, you should fly about 3 miles before you start descending.
To use it, take the number of thousands of feet you want to go down, then multiply by 3. That gives you the number of miles from your destination to begin the descent. For example, if you need to drop 10,000 feet, multiply 10 by 3 to get 30 miles. So, you would start going down 30 miles before landing.
Add passengers to all of this without nets to fall into, and you will find how you perform in a real-world situation. That’s why it’s essential to have some challenges, because you learn how you respond in a crisis. Never get complacent. Stay frosty! Always anticipate the emergency. You only have seconds to respond.
What are the five C’s of getting lost in aviation?
Here is an example: clouds are down at minimums, and you are looking for a runway, and you don’t see it. You either return for another attempt or divert to another airport. You have to decide, but instrument pilots don’t often find themselves lost.
The 5 C’s of aviation lost procedures are simple steps that help pilots get back on track when they’re lost in the sky:
Confess – Admit you are lost so you can start fixing the problem.
Conserve – Save your fuel and energy so you have enough to keep going.
Climb – Fly higher to get a better view and improve radio signals.
Communicate – Call for help and tell air traffic control what’s happening.
Comply – Follow the instructions given by air traffic control to get back safely.
These steps give pilots a clear plan for staying calm, finding their location, and safely regaining their course. Your friends are altitude and speed.
Why do you love flying?
Freedom. Flexibility. Focus required.
The experience of controlling a machine, to leave the surface of the earth under your own power of decision and skill, to see the topography, the rivers, the lakes, the plains from a perspective that you cannot experience in a land-based vehicle. It is majestic—an experience of perspective.
I might wake up on a solemn, dreary, damp, depressing day. Still, I can pass rotation speed and start climbing, and the next thing I know, I’ve broken through the dark clouds and the light clouds, and everybody in the dark is beneath me, and in front of me is the sunlight in the brightest, most beautiful day I’ve ever seen.
The FAQS About Being an Innovator:

What are the top trends in healthcare in 2025?
The top healthcare technology trends for 2025 include using AI for faster, more accurate diagnosis and greater automation of healthcare tasks. Telemedicine and remote patient monitoring are growing, letting doctors care for patients from a distance. Personalized medicine is growing, using a person’s data from wearable devices to improve treatment. Other significant trends include digital therapies, stronger data security enabled by tools like blockchain, and connecting medical devices via the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) to make healthcare smoother and more automated.
What is the biggest tech challenge facing healthcare technology?
The most significant tech problems in healthcare are keeping data safe (cybersecurity) and ensuring different health systems can work well together (interoperability). Healthcare contains a lot of sensitive information, making it a top target for hackers. When systems can’t easily share information, data is at risk, and it becomes hard for doctors and nurses to work together smoothly. This can cause delays or mistakes in patient care.
What makes service innovation different than other innovations?
Service innovation differs from product innovation mainly because it focuses on intangible aspects, such as how a service feels and how customers participate. Product innovation is about making new or better physical products and their features. Service innovation happens in real time and often involves working directly with customers, while product innovation follows a more step-by-step process of making and improving goods. Service innovation also pays closer attention to customer needs and builds relationships, often leading to more personalized experiences and simpler processes.
What is the most difficult part of innovating in the healthcare industry?
Complexity.
There are so many different types of people, and there are so many situations that they are dealing with; psychologically, emotionally, and physically. There are other workflows, staffing models, service bundles, economics, etc.
Many stakeholders in this environment influence the relationship throughout the entire continuum of care. That all adds to a lot of complexity.
One of the most complex things in healthcare is that 50% of all failures are due to non-adherence. Docs have a few general answers for why their patients don’t comply with their treatment plans: they forget, they don’t like how the meds make them feel, or there are other distractions in their environment. But the reality is, there are 100 reasons.
We document about 50 different reasons patients experience noncompliance. This informs our understanding of what a patient is going through. It’s not enough to speak about devices. That doesn’t fix anything. We want to compel behavioral change that requires responsive action, which is practical and salable, without worrying about the ecosystem.
Always Evolving
Patients are consumers, our customers. More relevant in the present, continuous, chronic, and more personal and precise.
Be realistic that government insurers, payors, and unforeseen events like pandemics and lockdowns are constantly changing and evolving situations.
You must evolve, build aggressively, and suddenly, the perspective changes. You have to be willing to flex to meet the demands and changes, but at a lower and lower cost.
Entrepreneurs want the same thing as the patients we serve: survival and longevity. So you should build diversity into your business model to anticipate the unexpected and make it agile enough to adapt to changes. Multiple payment methods and secondary channels are in place. The risk in diversity could also be a watering down of your focus.
Medicare, Medicaid, Private, and Commercial prices. How do you apply your manpower and capital? Where do you use them? Careful forecasting is essential to balance one against the other. Survival and negativity are equally crucial as profitability. Critical is the efficacy of the product you are delivering. Outcomes are King.
The FAQS of Being an Advocate Against Romance Scams & Online Fraud

What are the signs someone is pretending to be someone else online?
Signs that someone is pretending to be you online include inconsistencies in their profile information, a lack of personal or verifiable history, and attempts to isolate or create a sense of urgency. Look for newly created accounts with few posts or connections, vague or conflicting personal details, and a pattern of avoiding video calls or in-person meetings. Be wary of requests for personal information or money and a general feeling that something is “off”.
How to spot the signs of a Romance Scammer?
You can tell if someone is a romance scammer by looking for red flags such as their refusal to video chat or meet in person, rapid declarations of love, and urgent requests for money, especially via gift cards or cryptocurrency. Other indicators include inconsistent stories, quickly moving the conversation off the dating site, and profiles that seem fake or have very few pictures.
How do I tell someone they are being romance scammed?
To tell someone they are being romance-scammed, start a calm, inviting conversation by expressing concern and presenting the facts gently. You can point out inconsistencies in the scammer’s story, discuss common scam patterns, and encourage the person to seek a second opinion from a trusted friend or family member. If money has been sent, advise them to contact their bank and report the scam to authorities like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Can I recover my money from a romance scam?
Yes, you may be able to recover money from a romance scam, but it is challenging, and success is not guaranteed. To attempt recovery, you should immediately contact your bank, report the fraud to the police, and notify organizations such as the FTC. Gathering all documentation, such as messages and transaction records, is crucial for your efforts.

Being an Entrepreneur: FAQS

What is the best thing about being an entrepreneur?
The ability to charge your own course. Freedom of decision. Ability to create and innovate, and to express your creativity and manifest it into a physical reality. And in my case, a reality that has a very positive impact on humanity.
What is the worst thing about being an entrepreneur?
You have to be insane because it is so hard. There are so many challenges and setbacks. It’s all fun and games in the first year (Sam Altman), and then you blink and nine years have gone by. But if you are steadfast and committed, you will stay with it. Pain, fear, uncertainty, but there’s always a solution. There’s always a pivot.
Reinvention. Reinvent the model and build one that is successful, and you never give up, quit, or lose the fight. In some ways, you look forward to the challenges because it’s a heck of an adrenaline rush, builds your confidence as you face so many, and reveals your true capability, which shapes your character.
People say entrepreneurs are ‘married’ to their work; is that true?
Uh. Yes. You have to love what you do. You don’t love it, you won’t follow through. But here’s the upside: every test is a chance to grow.
It’s also vital that your roles do not define WHO you are. It’s still a job; it’s like a hobby if you love it, but if you can’t manage your personal life, if you aren’t good at it, you’re never going to be good at growing and maintaining a team. You will be cold and callous, exploiting your team. If you can’t get it done in five days, there’s no way in hell you’re going to get it done in 7.
Learn how to bend time to your will. Have a spirit of generosity as an entrepreneur. You have to listen to multiple people, and you’ll be really good at that if you know how to listen to the people at home.
If I say I’m really going to care for our patients, but I can’t be there for my own family, I’m not really going to care for them well. I have to surround myself with people of character all the time, who will then influence my actions at work.
Why is emotional intelligence important for entrepreneurs?
You find what you didn’t even know existed in yourself about commitment. Yes, you’re married to the business, but it’s not your first commitment.
But your identity should never be just a CEO, which can drive an overactive, overstimulated ego. You should be even busier and more exhausted after addressing your nights off work and spending time with your family.
You physically cannot survive the journey if you don’t retrack, pull away, and feed yourself spiritually and emotionally. Otherwise, you are only immersed in your own experiences, where your circuit breakers can be stressed, not in others’,.
How do I build and maintain a strong team and trustworthy workplace culture?

Things are going ok for people in life. There’s time for forgiveness, compassion, and flexibility with caution. A business is a business, and it requires progress. It is not charity for your employees. You must guard against being taken advantage of by taking longer to hire and being faster to fire. It’s a delicate balance.
My Team Management Checklist:
- Maintain Unwavering Integrity
- Hold People Accountable
- Be flexible
- Open Environment
- Express concerns and ideas
- Healthy communication
- Honesty
- Weed out toxicity and discord
- Unity of purpose and vision
- Know that people have different ideas and perspectives
- Recognize wins
- No tolerance for abuse or immoral behaviors, conduct, and speech
- Understand it’s hard to be a disruptor
- Disrupt without disrupting the legacy system
- Gradually bring forward new ways of doing things effectively
- If you want staff to take care of your teams, encourage them to take care of themselves, too
When you can play it from each person’s perspective, from one side of the conflict to the other, it helps them understand it, and often soothes the interaction when they see the other side. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know…”
This tactic can cut out some of the significant responses and assumptions. Let’s talk to them and find out what we don’t know. Eradicating assumptions people make about each other goes a long way toward creating a peaceful, prosperous, and positively scaling workforce.
